A cupcake pattern has been added to the Stitching Cards collection. The design features a cupcake with a candle. It makes a great birthday card. It can also be used for congratulations, thank you and other messages by omitting the candle.

This week’s card is called 100th birthday Easel and was made by Katharine. This imposing card was made using Pinbroidery number patterns.

Katharine said “I used the top of the 0 for the trim on the base, reversing one of them. I stitched in double thread to make it easier for elderly eyes to see it, also used the pearl paper to fill in the numerals for the same reason”.

This week’s card is called Bird Bath and was made by TeaDrinker. This impressive card was made using the Stitching Cards Bird bath pattern.

TeaDrinker said “It was made with blue, brown, gold, green, antique silver and variegated metallic threads. I decided to colour it in with coloured pencils. It was stitched on a shimmering white card, and mounted onto green, then brown stock card. I added peel-offs”.

In an independent survey carried out by SafeBuy, 1001 Stitching Cards customers answered yes to the question “Would you recommend us to other people?” Only two said no.

What is SafeBuy?
The SafeBuy Organisation has completed Stage One of the UK Office of Fair Trading two-stage process towards approval. As part of this process the OFT has agreed the text of the SafeBuy Code of Practice. SafeBuy vets all sites during accreditation and continuously carries out ‘mystery shopper’ exercises and standards checking to ensure that retailers are adhering to the Code.

Six new stitching card patterns have been added to the Pinbroidery website inspired by the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. They feature six geese a laying, five gold rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.

Each design has pricking patterns of two sizes: 144 x 144 mm (5.65 x 5.65 inches) and 152 x 104 mm (6 x 4½ inches). The square pricking pattern has words down each side and the rectangular pattern omits the words.
The patterns are available individually and in a value pack of all six designs.

A six Diwali lamps pattern has been added to the Stitching Cards collection. The design features six lamps and the words Happy Diwali. This is a major festival that is significant in Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism, known as the “Festival of Lights”. This year Diwali falls on Friday 5 November 2010 in the English calendar.
